Free Summer Concerts (Bellport Bandshell)

Starting Friday, Jun 28 through Saturday, August 31, you can enjoy the best music acts in Bellport at the Bellport’s Bandshell. All performances start at 8 pm. The 2019 schedule is:

Artists on the Lane

Fourth of July in Bellport Village! At Artists on the Lane in Bellport, numerous artists display crafts and fine arts including ceramics & pottery, paintings, photography, glass art, fiber art, artisan jewelry, and a lot more. All craftwork and artworks are original and crafted by the exhibitors. Artists on the Lane is one of Long Island’s longest-running craft and art festivals attracting thousands of art enthusiasts and collectors. What a way to celebrate the Fourth of July! This is one of Long Island’s longest-running free antiques and crafts fairs!

Tow Truck (Kids Workshop)

On Saturday, July 6, you may take your kids to this great free hands-on workshop. Together with your children, you can build a toy tow truck that has a boom to rescue toy vehicles from embankments and ditches. Your kids learn how to move or remove disabled vehicles or lust put the model vehicles on display. By the time you’re done with your wrecker construction efforts, your child can start customizing it with stickers and paint. All children need to be accompanied by an adult or a parent at all times and all kids will receive a “certificate of achievement”, a great workshop apron, a commemorative workshop pin (while supplies last), and they can keep their craft,

Bellport Day Festival 2019

Saturday, July 27. Bellport Day is an annual event and this year it will take place Saturday, July 27 from 11 am until 4 pm. Your children are guaranteed to a blast as they enjoy a wide variety of activities and entertainment while their parents and other adults can marvel at unique items displayed by numerous vendors. Bellport Day Festival promises fun and entertainment for the entire family with activities, Bellport attractions, live music, food specials at local restaurants, and a lot more!

On Friday, August 2, you are invited play along with your neighbors and friend from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm at Bellport’s South Country Library (22 Station Rd, Bellport Village). Those who like to play, sing, or listen to the mandolin, guitar, harmonica, banjo, or another acoustic instrument will have the time of their lives at this evening filled with acoustic blues, folk, and old-timey music! Please do not forget to bring non-perishable food items that will be donated to a local food bank.

The South Country String Band (Café Castello)

On Saturday, August 3, the South Country String Band will give a show at Café Castello from 6 to 8:30 pm. Café Castello is located in the heart of Bellport. The South Country String Band consists of three fine musicians that are good friends who, for many years, have performed in the Bellport-Brookhaven area. The band’s music is a mix of styles that include Folk, Traditional, Pop, and even Sea Shanties. The South Country String Band consists of Terri Hall (vocals, ukelele, guitar, and percussion), Greg Smith (vocals, ukelele, guitar, and percussion), and Larry Sribnick (Bass).

Christ Episcopal Church Oldfashioned Clam Bake

You are welcome to join the annual oldfashioned Clam Bake on Sunday, August 11 at Bellport’s Christ Episcopal Church. There will be plenty of lobster, mussels, steamers, hot dogs, corn-on-the-cob available, and lots more great food! Annual Bellport Program Fund Fundraiser

On Saturday, August 10, the Bellport Program Fund is inviting you to come and support the Fund’s projects in Bellport Village at the annual fundraising program. You have the opportunity to join the Bellport Program Fund on Saturday, August 10 from 6 pm to 8 pm at Sava & Roger Thomas’ home in Bellport Village. The event includes hors d’oeuvres, cocktails, and a great silent auction! You are welcome to join the party with friends and neighbors.  

Charity Beer, Wine & Food Tasting (Bellport Rotary Club)

On Thursday, August 15, the Bellport Rotary Club holds a Charity Beer, Wine, & Food Tasting from 7 pm to 10 pm. At this annual event, you can enjoy wine, beer, food, great folks, and live music and it’s all for a good cause. This event is the main source of funding for the Bellport Rotary Club’s projects. All proceeds go to benefit Polio Plus, Camp Pa-Qua-Tuck, Gift of Life 726, Bellport High Scholarships, local Scouts and sports teams, food baskets, the Bellport Area Boys & Girls Club, and several other projects.

Love, Loss, and What I wore by Playcrafters

Saturday, August 24 & Sunday, August 25. Bellport’s Playcrafters Theatre Company will present a staged reading of Nora & Delia Ephron’s “Love, Loss, and What I Wore” at 8 pm on Sunday and 3 pm on Sunday at the Bellport area Boys & Girls Club (471 Atlantic Avenue, Bellport).

Bellport Labor Day Sidewalk Sale

Saturday, August 31. Don’t miss this great event! Every year, the Bellport Labor Day Sidewalk Sale is held in downtown Bellport Village. Bring your entire family to enjoy a full of activities and stroll the quaint streets of Bellport Village at the Sidewalk Sale. This is a perfect day to enjoy local shops and restaurants and you may also want to pay a visit to the Bellport Exchange Shop, run by the Bellport-Brookhaven Historical Society. The Exchange Shop (also called the “Barn Museum Shop”) is found at 12 Bell Street.

Sandcastle Contest At Bellport’s Ho-Hum Beach

On Sunday, September 1, the Bellport Village Program Fund sponsors the Annual Sandcastle Contest at Bellport’s Ho Hum Beach. Let your children bring their pails, shovels, and, of course, their creativity! You and your children can create whatever you want! There are great prizes in various categories.
